Weekly Feature: Once Upon a Story...

'Once Upon a Story' is a weekly feature in which we go back in time and focus  on a specific novel that was released in the same month we're in right now (in this case May), but a few years back! It can be a women's fiction classic from the 1990's or perhaps a great chick lit read from 2011. I thought it would be nice to not just focus on recent releases, but also take the chance to jump back in time once a week and look back at wonderful reads that have been released over the years!

This week, we're travelling a couple years back to November 2010 to look back at...

She was just a girl, standing in front of a boy . . . wishing he looked more like Hugh Grant.

Scarlett loves the movies. But does she love sensible fianc?? David just as much? With a big white wedding on the horizon, Scarlett really should have decided by now . . .

When she has the chance to house-sit in Notting Hill - the setting of one of her favourite movies - Scarlett jumps at the chance. But living life like a movie is trickier than it seems, especially when her new neighbour Sean is so irritating. And so irritatingly handsome, too.

Scarlett soon finds herself starring in a romantic comedy of her very own: but who will end up as the leading man?

Ali McNamara's debut novel 'From Notting Hill With Love... Actually' is one of my absolute favourite chick lit novels of all time and I can't ever get enough of rereading it. The book is perfect for fans of romantic comedies/chick flicks, as the title already suggests! Ali's writing is amazing, the plotline is captivating, the characters are wonderful, and the references to fab films make the reading experience even more fun. I can't gush about this book enough; pick it up if you haven't done so already! And if you end up liking it, the third part of the series was released a couple of weeks ago, so enough adventures to get lost in!

Be sure to visit the blog next week for another blast from chick lit past with 'Once Upon a Story...'!
