June 2014 Releases! (Part 2)

Yesterday I already told you about some fabulous releases that are coming up next month (click here to see the list). June has some pretty fantastic books in store for us, and I'm looking forward to picking up many of these titles myself. Be sure to check out the other June 2014 releases below!

Evie Gaughan - 'The Mysterious Bakery On Rue De Paris' (9th of June)

This is the magical tale of Edith Lane, who sets off to find her fortune in the beautiful city of Paris.  Fortune, however, is a fickle thing and Edith ends up working in a vintage bakery in the positively antique town of Compiègne.  Escaping heartache and singledom in Ireland, Edith discovers that the bakery on Rue De Paris is not exactly what it seems and that some ghosts from the past are harder to escape than others.  A heart-warming story that is sure to appeal to all of the senses, The Mysterious Bakery On Rue De Paris is a mouth-watering journey of love, liberty and la vie en rose.

Why so excited? --> I'm part of the blog tour for this particular release, and as soon as I saw the title I was interested. A vintage bakery in Paris... I simply love the sound of it already, and can't wait to read it!

Elin Hilderbrand - 'The Matchmaker' (10th of June)

48-year-old Nantucketer Dabney Kimball Beech has always had a gift for matchmaking. Some call her ability mystical, while others - like her husband, celebrated economist John Boxmiller Beech, and her daughter, Agnes, who is clearly engaged to the wrong man - call it meddlesome, but there's no arguing with her results: With 42 happy couples to her credit and all of them still together, Dabney has never been wrong about romance.

Never, that is, except in the case of herself and Clendenin Hughes, the green-eyed boy who took her heart with him long ago when he left the island to pursue his dream of becoming a journalist. Now, after spending 27 years on the other side of the world, Clen is back on Nantucket, and Dabney has never felt so confused, or so alive.

But when tragedy threatens her own second chance, Dabney must face the choices she's made and share painful secrets with her family. Determined to make use of her gift before it's too late, she sets out to find perfect matches for those she loves most.

Why so excited? --> I haven't read any of Elin Hilderbrand's books, but I'm really intrigued by the sound of 'The Matchmaker.' I love the sound of Dabney's matchmaking skills and how she tries to find perfect matches for the people she loves; definitely sounds like a promising read!

Jennifer Weiner - 'All Fall Down' (14th of June)

Allison Weiss has a great job...a handsome husband...an adorable daughter...and a secret.

Allison Weiss is a typical working mother, trying to balance a business, aging parents, a demanding daughter, and a marriage. But when the website she develops takes off, she finds herself challenged to the point of being completely overwhelmed. Her husband’s becoming distant, her daughter’s acting spoiled, her father is dealing with early Alzheimer’s, and her mother’s barely dealing at all. As she struggles to hold her home and work life together, and meet all of the needs of the people around her, Allison finds that the painkillers she was prescribed for a back injury help her deal with more than just physical discomfort—they help her feel calm and get her through her increasingly hectic days. Sure, she worries a bit that the bottles seem to empty a bit faster each week, but it’s not like she’s some Hollywood starlet partying all night, or a homeless person who’s lost everything. It’s not as if she has an actual problem.

However, when Allison’s use gets to the point that she can no longer control—or hide—it, she ends up in a world she never thought she’d experience outside of a movie theater: rehab. Amid the teenage heroin addicts, the alcoholic grandmothers, the barely-trained “recovery coaches,” and the counselors who seem to believe that one mode of recovery fits all, Allison struggles to get her life back on track, even as she’s convincing herself that she’s not as bad off as the women around her.

Why so excited? --> Bestselling author Jennifer Weiner is back, woohoo! I'm really looking forward to her upcoming release, 'All Fall Down', which sounds like a wonderful women's fiction read.

Linda Francis Lee - 'The Glass Kitchen' (17th of June)

Portia Cuthcart never intended to leave Texas. Her dream was to run the Glass Kitchen restaurant her grandmother built decades ago. But after a string of betrayals and the loss of her legacy, Portia is determined to start a new life with her sisters in Manhattan... and never cook again.

What seems so simple on the surface is anything but when long-held secrets are revealed, rivalries exposed, and the promise of new love stirs to life like chocolate mixing with cream.

Why so excited? --> 'The Glass Kitchen' has a lovely cover (I really like the different shades of purple) and I'm also already taken in by the short description of the story inside. Portia is trying to get away from cooking, but when she's in Manhattan she is forced to confront everything she has been running from...

Rebecca Raisin - 'The Bookshop On the Corner' (17th of June)

Who said that only real heroes could be found in fiction?

Sarah Smith had an addiction – she was addicted to romance novels. The meet-cute, the passion, the drama and the gorgeous men! Now this wouldn’t have been such an issue if she hadn’t been the owner of the only bookshop in Ashford, Connecticut.

Ever since her close friend Lil, from The Gingerbread Café, had become engaged she had been yearning for a little love to turn up in her life. Except Sarah knew a good man was hard to find – especially in a tiny town like Ashford. That was until New York journalist, Ridge Warner stepped into her bookshop…

Why so excited? --> Oh my, I am SO excited about Rebecca Raisin's June release, 'The Bookshop On the Corner'! Tamsyn Thorne has not been back to her home town of Poldore for five long years.

But now her brother, Ruan, is about to get married and she has no excuses left.

Her plans to arrive in Cornwall looking chic and successful are dashed when a huge storm turns her from fashion goddess to a drowned rat. Worse, she ends up insulting the local hunky vicar – and then finds a tiny baby abandoned in his churchyard…

Anna McPartlin - 'The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes' (19th of June)

Here is a truth that can't be escaped: for Mia 'Rabbit' Hayes, life is coming to an end...

Rabbit Hayes loves her life, ordinary as it is, and the extraordinary people in it. She loves her spirited daughter, Juliet; her colourful, unruly family; the only man in her big heart, Johnny Faye.

But it turns out the world has other plans for Rabbit, and she's OK with that. Because she has plans for the world too, and only a handful of days left to make them happen.

Here is a truth that won't be forgotten: this is a story about laughing through life's surprises and finding the joy in every moment.

Why so excited? --> I've heard from several people that this is an amazing heart-wrenching read that you don't want to miss, so I'm quite curious to pick up my own copy of this book. It sounds like a story you won't be able to read without shedding a few tears, so be sure to have that box of tissues ready!

Lucy Robinson - 'The Unfinished Symphony of You and Me' (19th of June)

Sally is an incredible singer but she sings only in her wardrobe where nobody can hear her. She'd rather join a nudist colony than sing in public.

That is until she ventures to New York where a wild and heady summer of love and loss changes her forever. No longer able to hide in the shadows, Sally must return home to London to fulfill a promise she cannot break - to share her voice.

But just as she's about to embark on her new life, a beautiful man turns up on Sally's doorstep bearing a sheepish smile and a mysterious hand-written message.

How did he find her? Why is he here? Does he hold the truth to what happened back in New York? And, with him back on the scene, will she still have the courage to step into the spotlight?

Why so excited? --> This book had already been added to my to-read list when I just knew the title, because I know a Lucy Robinson novel will not disappoint! The blurb is a bit cryptic and doesn't give too much away, which has gotten me even more excited. Can't WAIT for this book!

Tilly Bagshawe - 'The Inheritance' (19th of June)

Tatiana Flint-Hamilton’s gilded cage is torn away when her estranged father dies. As the beloved family estate slips through Tati’s fingers, the portraits of her ancestors look down disapprovingly.

Luckily his wife Angela is the perfect homemaker, happy to fall into line with whatever Brett desires. Along with her two children, Furlings soon becomes Angela’s lifeline, a place she can finally belong. And one she’s not going to give up easily.

Losing everything has made Tati realise that her rightful inheritance is all that she now lives for… and she will do anything to get it back.

But the fate of Furlings lies in the hands of the villagers.

Let the Fittlescombe fireworks begin!

Why so excited? --> Tilly Bagshawe's upcoming June release sounds like quite the addictive read and I already look forward to picking it up. The battle of an estate between the daughter of the original owners and a new loving lady of the manor... This simply has to be good!

Anna Bell - 'Don't Tell the Boss' (19th of June)

When newlywed Penny turns her hand to some casual wedding planning she only wants to help other women afford the big day of their dreams.

But taming bridezillas turns out to be a full-time occupation, and what began as a hobby becomes a personal and professional nightmare.

Soon Penny is struggling to keep her day job and prevent her own marriage from collapsing under the strain: tired, stressed and knee-deep in ivory satin, is Penny's life and livelihood hanging by a thread?

Why so excited? --> I still have Anna Bell's 'Don't Tell the Groom' lying on my to-read shelf, and I honestly don't know why I haven't picked it up yet. I love the cover for 'Don't Tell the Boss'; it's absolutely gorgeous and the blurb promises a wonderful read. I love books about weddings, so I have a feeling I will thoroughly enjoy this!

Milly Johnson - 'The Teashop On the Corner' (19th of June)

At her beloved husband's funeral, Carla Pride discovers that Martin never divorced his first wife and has been living a double life with her. And his other wife, Julie Pride, is determined to take everything from Carla - her home, her money, and her memories.

When Will Linton's business goes bust he at least thinks that with the support of his trophy wife Nicole he will rise to the top again. But Nicole isn't going to stick around with 'a loser' and Will finds himself at rock bottom.

Molly Jones is being bullied into going into a retirement home by her 'concerned' daughter-in-law Sherry and son Gram. Then the love of Molly's life walks in through her door - a man who broke Molly's heart into little pieces many years ago. But he says he is dying and wants to spend the time he has left with her.

All people in need of a little love and compassion which they find by chance in the stationery and teashop on the corner run by the ever-cheerful Leni, a woman that site developer Shaun McCarthy finds annoying beyond annoying for her ability to remain unrealistically upbeat about everything.

But is the world of Leni Merryman as full of rainbows and sparkles as everyone thinks? Or is her smile papering over many cracks in her heart that will soon be shattered unwittingly by her new friends?

Why so excited? --> Well, it's a new Milly Johnson book, is there another reason needed to be excited?! I love Milly's books and the fact that this one is about a teashop has already made me long for it even more! Lovely cover and undoubted an absolutely lovely story inside as well!

Freya North - 'The Way Back Home' (19th of June)

One summer, something happened that changed everything forever…

We were who we were, the children of Windward – a little ragtaggle tribe defining the ethos and eccentricity of the place…

Born and brought up in an artists’ commune in Derbyshire, Oriana Taylor had freedom at her fingertips in a home full of extraordinary people.

The Bedwell brothers, Malachy and Jed, shared their childhood and adolescence with Oriana. In the rambling old house and tangled grounds, their dreams and desires could take wing unchecked.

But too much freedom comes at a price. Something happened the summer they were fifteen. And now, having been gone eighteen years, Oriana is back.

This is their story.

Why so excited? --> Freya North is another well-known name within the world of women's fiction and I'm curious to discover what her next release will be like! Another cover that immediately caught my eye, and the blurb promises a fascinating and captivating story.

Carmel Harrington - 'The Life You Left' (19th of June)

Sarah, I’m not coming home tonight.
If you love me, you will give me the space I need…
Tell the children I love them.
Paul

It started out like any other day for Sarah Lawler; getting the kids ready for school, making the pack lunches and juggling baby Ella’s feeds.

There was no way of knowing that her husband, Paul, would leave for work that morning and simply not come home.

Now the questions are piling up quicker than the unpaid bills and, unable to answer her children’s questions about where their Daddy is, Sarah is getting desperate.

But it turns out she isn’t quite as alone as she thought she was. When her beloved childhood friend, Edward, comes back into her life, Sarah thinks she’s finally been thrown a life line.

There’s just one problem with Edward: no one else can see him.

Edward is an angel. And he has a message for Sarah that will change her life and the lives of others forever. For it is only in the most difficult of times that Sarah can discover how strong she truly is.

Why so excited? --> Alright, I've almost already got tears in my eyes after just reading the blurb, let alone what the entire book will do to me... Carmel Harrington released 'Beyond Grace's Rainbow' last year and it was a book I heard so many people talk about in the most positive way. It has definitely made me curious about her work and I honestly can't wait to sit down with a copy of 'The Life You Left.'

Victoria Van Tiem - 'Love Like the Movies' (19th of June)

Kenzi Shaw knows the plot of her life down to the last line - the career she's building as an up-and-coming marketing exec, the gorgeous fiancé (Bradley) she'll marry in a fairytale wedding, the children they'll raise in her dream home. But when heart-breaking ex Shane comes back into her life, life starts going off the script...

Shane tries to win Kenzi over by re-enacting all the rom-com movies they used to watch together - Sleepless in Seattle, Bridget Jones's Diary, Pretty Woman and Dirty Dancing to name a few. He's just a guy, standing in front of a girl, asking her to trust him again. But has he really changed? Not only is her head in a spin over Shane, but now her job is on the line. And with her perfect sister-in-law showing up every tiny thing Kenzi does wrong, she feels like she's permanently in the corner.

Should she risk her sensible life for the chance of a Happy Ever After? One thing's certain, when Shane meets Kenzi (again), she's suddenly not so sure who her leading man is...

Why so excited? --> I love chick lit and rom com's, so it's no big surprise that I am extremely excited about this upcoming release! Victoria Van Tiem promises an absolutely brilliant read (with once again, a gorgeous cover!) and this is definitely one of the June 2014 releases I am the most looking forward to!

Helen Chandler - 'To Have and to Hold' (19th of June)

From the outside, Ella has the happy marriage, the cute kids and the comfortable home - inside, she craves something more. But giving in to temptation will stir up a whole heap of trouble...

Imogen's relationship with Pete was once fun and carefree but since they've become parents, everything is different. Then an accident provides the catalyst for a life-changing decision.

Fifteen-year-old Phoebe is miserable at home and at school. And now her dad, who was always her ally, seems completely distracted by something - or someone. Maybe it's time Phoebe took a stand, and took control of her own life.

As Ella, Imogen and Phoebe contemplate taking the biggest risk of their lives, marriages, families and friendships hang in the balance. Should they take the leap, or will they risk losing everything?

Why so excited? --> The e-book version of Helen Chandler's 'To Have and to Hold' was released in May, and in June the paperback version will hit the shelves. I already really like the sound of the three female characters; I love books in which there are different storylines to follow, and I've heard many good things about Helen Chandler's novels so far, so I'll be sure to check this one out!

Anouska Knight - 'A Part of Me' (20th of June)

After years of trying, Amy Alwood and James Coffrey have finally been accepted into the adoption process. At long last they are going to get their 'happy ever after'. Then - out of nowhere - a dark secret is revealed, which changes everything.

Amy is torn - does she follow her heart and let the thing she wants most slip away, or carry on with a lie and live with the consequences?

Why so excited? --> Anouska Knight released her debut novel 'Since You've Been Gone' last year and this June she is treating us to her second book, 'A Part of Me.' The blurb sounds intriguing, the cover looks stunning... Another release I'm excited to check out in the upcoming weeks!

Talli Roland - 'The No Kids Club' (3rd of June)

At almost forty, Clare Donoghue is living child-free and loving it.

Then her boyfriend says he wants kids, breaking off their promising relationship. And it's not just boyfriends: one by one, her formerly carefree friends are swallowed up in a nonstop cycle of play dates and baby groups. So Clare declares enough is enough and decides it's time for people who don't have children to band together. And so the No-Kids Club is born.

As the group comes together - Anna, who's seeking something to jumpstart a stale marriage, and Poppy, desperate for a family but unable to conceive - Clare's hoping to make the most of the childless life with her new friends. But is living child-free all it's cracked up to be?

Why so excited? --> I'm not a mum (yet), but I really enjoy books that deal with motherhood, taking care of kids, starting your own family. Alison Sweeney - 'Scared Scriptless' (3rd of June) (USA; UK release in July)

Maddy Carson is a mass of contradictions. She loves her job as Script Supervisor on a hit TV show, but hates "Hollywood." Super-organized and down-to-earth, Maddy is clearly one of the best at her job, and her strict dating rule - "No Actors!" - helps her keep focused on her career. However, a budding relationship with Craig, one of the executives at her company, may even propel her into the big leagues. Could Wolf County, her beloved hometown in the mountains, be saved from a financial crisis by creating a reality show featuring the eccentrics in the small ski village? Maddy is determined to try, even when she learns that Craig's agenda doesn't exactly line up with her altruistic goal.

Meanwhile, Maddy still has a full-time job to manage, her family to deal with, and a gorgeous new actor, Adam Devin, determined to wear down her resistance. Eventually Maddy must learn to break all her self-imposed rules and simply follow her heart.

Why so excited? --> I immediately loved the clever and fun title of this novel. I like the idea of the main character working as a script supervisor on a hit TV show; this is a great setting that offers many ways to write a fabulous story. Kim Wright - 'Unexpected Waltz' (3rd of June)

Kelly Wilder becomes recently widowed from a much older wealthy man with whom she spent her married life doing charity work, building a lovely home, and, as she says, “pretending to be a whole lot more conservative and stupid and nicer than I really am.”

Now, with too much time and money on her hands, Kelly has absolutely no idea what happens next. So on a whim she signs up for a ballroom dancing class, and slowly, step by high-heeled step, begins to rebuild her life with the help of friends old and new: Nik, a young Russian dance teacher who sees the artistic potential she left behind; Carolina, a woman in hospice, anxious to experience a whole lifetime in a few months; and Elyse, Kelly’s girlhood best friend who knows all of her past secrets—including the truth about the man who long ago broke Kelly’s heart.

Why so excited? --> I'm not familiar with Kim Wright's work, but I'm quite curious to check out 'The Unexpected Waltz'! Ali Harris - 'Written in the Stars' (5th of June)

Bea Bishop is horrible at making decisions. Forget big life ones, even everyday choices seem to paralyse her. She's learned to live with this because experience has taught her that it doesn't matter what you do, no one has the power to control destiny. Anyone who believes they can is a fool.

But as her wedding day approaches, her years of indecision are weighing heavily on her, and she can't help but wonder, 'What if, what if, what if….'
What if she hadn't upped sticks and moved to London? What if she hadn't grabbed the first job that came along and settled down with the first guy who showed an interest?

But all of her questions are silenced when she slips while walking down the aisle and is knocked unconscious. In this split second her life splits into two: in one existence, Bea flees back down the aisle and out of the church. Michelle Betham - 'Striker' (5th of June)

Amber Sullivan is an ambitious, beautiful and feisty Sports reporter for a local TV news programme. With an ex-professional soccer player for a father, she’s grown up in and around the world of premiership football, and boy does she know better than to get mixed up with the men who play the game. As rich and charming as they are, Amber has a strict no player rule.

One of the biggest names in football, Ryan Fisher is young, hot, and talented. He has it all – looks, fame, money; not to mention women falling at his over-insured feet and a lifestyle he’s in no hurry to give up.

At the centre of a multi-million-pound transfer deal back to his home club, Ryan’s a big scoop for a local sports journalist and Amber can’t afford to miss this career-making opportunity – even if that means having to interview the cocky sports star.

But once the tape starts rolling it’s clear Ryan’s got more than just an exclusive on his mind… and he’s used to getting exactly what he wants.

Why so excited? --> I'm a big fan of Harper Impulse; they've released some quick, contemporary romance reads I've really enjoyed, so I'm looking forward to checking out more of them in the future, including 'Striker'. Betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend, Lena is left empty; trapped under a weight of guilt and loneliness. Then, at her lowest point and when she needs it most, a mysterious stranger comes into her life with a tale of friendship, family, and finding love in the most unexpected of places…

Katy Heath is definitely not thinking of love when she comes across consultant, Adam Elliot, berating some poor patient on the ward one day. In fact it is Dr Peter Florin who quickly has everyone’s hearts aflutter with his easy smiles and practised charm.

Yet Katy comes to realise that there’s more to Adam than his determination to push everyone away and it’s not long before she finds herself longing to reach out to touch the man within, healing the pain of his past.

As Lena is drawn into Katy’s story, she begins to learn – just as Katy does- that the course of true love never did run smooth.

Amanda Brooke - 'Where I Found You' (5th of June)

Maggie Carter knows Victoria Park like the back of her hand. She knows which routes around the park are easiest to navigate; she knows what time of year the most beautiful flowers bloom; and she knows which bench by the pond allows you to hear the joyful chatter of children throwing bread to the ducks without risking getting splashed by over-enthusiastic flapping. But she’s never seen any of these things. Maggie is blind: her senses of touch, smell and hearing have built an image of the place she loves most in the world, and she’s never felt held back by her unseeing eyes. And yet, newly married and expecting her first baby, Maggie has suddenly started to doubt her ability to cope.

Elsie is also expecting her first child, but unmarried, alone and without the support of her family, she’s terrified her baby will be taken away. When Maggie meets Elsie one day in the park she tries to comfort this distressed young woman – but all is not as it seems. Because Elsie lost her baby sixty years earlier, and now, suffering from the first stages of Alzheimer’s, she can’t stop re-living the most traumatic event in her life.

Determined to bring Elsie back to the present, Maggie sets out to find out what happened all those years ago and bring peace to Elsie memories … before it’s too late.

Why so excited? --> Wow. How amazing does this blurb sound?! I still haven't read Amanda Brooke's previous release, 'Another Way to Fall', but I've heard so many good things from other bloggers. I am also definitely adding 'Where I Found You' to my to-read list... I have a feeling this will be a book many people will be talking about during the month of June!

Martina Reilly - 'Things I Want You to Know' (5th of June)

When a tragic accident tore his life apart, Nick Deegan left his beautiful wife Kate and their two young children - always thinking that someday he would return to them.

Emma Garcia - 'OMG Baby!' (5th of June)

This ISN'T a book about babies. It's not about sleepless nights, nappies or nurseries. It IS about two people, one unexpected pregnancy and a question…

Viv and Max were best friends for years, then they were lovers and then it all went wrong. Now finally they are to be reunited.

Viv feels sick. Not just with nerves at seeing Max again, but because there's a small chance she might… quite possibly… most definitely… be pregnant. It's thrilling. But also terrifying. Most of the time they can hardly look after themselves, let alone a baby.

And when Viv's estranged mother reappears on the scene and they all end up sharing an apartment all hell breaks loose.

Three months to go. Two best friends. One little question…

HOW ON EARTH ARE THEY GOING TO COPE?

Why so excited? --> I have to admit I haven't read Emma Garcia's 'Never Google Heartbreak', but I remember many people talking about the book in a positive way. I LOVE the cover and title of 'OMG Baby!' and the blurb promises a really fun read. Definitely looking forward to this release!

Liz O'Brien doesn't want to fall in love. All she has ever wanted is to be a professional show-jumper and now it's within her grasp. She'll do anything to succeed . . . even if that means keeping secrets from those around her.

Matt has no intention of falling in love, either. He has never known a thrill like show-jumping. Intense, exhilarating and fast-paced - for Matt, nothing beats the rush that comes with a win.

But then Matt and Liz are thrown together as rivals, and as desire begins to take over, tension grows between them. Both must fight against all odds for their dreams - and for each other.

Jill Mansell - 'The Unpredictable Consequences of Love' (5th of June)

In the idyllic seaside town of St Carys, Sophie is putting the past firmly behind her.

When Josh arrives in St Carys to run the family hotel, he can't understand why Sophie has zero interest in letting any man into her life. He also can't understand how he's been duped into employing Sophie's impulsive friend Tula, whose crush on him is decidedly unrequited.

St Carys has more than its fair share of characters, including the charming but utterly feckless surfer Riley Bryant, who has a massive crush on Tula. Riley's aunt is superstar author Marguerite Marshall. And Marguerite has designs on Josh's grandfather...who in turn still adores his glamorous ex-wife, Dot...

Just how many secrets can one seaside town keep?

Why so excited? --> Jill Mansell is one of the queens of chick lit and her novels never disappoint. 'The Unpredictable Consequences of Love' was released in hardback earlier this year, but the paperback copy will be available from the 5th of June.

Lucy Diamond - 'One Summer in Italy' (5th of June)

If journalist Anna had to write up the story of her own life, it wouldn’t make for a great headline: Dull Journo Has Dull Boyfriend! The only mystery in Anna’s life is that she’s never known who her dad is but with her mum refusing to tell her more she’s at a dead end. When she accidentally comes across a clue that her father is Italian, it opens up a burning curiosity in Anna. Soon she’s cooking Italian food, signing up for an Italian class and even considering dusting off her passport to go and find her dad in person…

Sophie is serving gelato to tourists in Italy when she gets the call that her father has had a serious heart attack. In a rush, she grabs her well-worn backpack and heads back to the one place she’s been avoiding for so long – home. Living with her mum again while her dad recuperates, and taking a job teaching Italian to make ends meet, Sophie has to face up to the secrets she’s kept buried in the past.

Catherine has no idea what the future holds. Her children have left for university, her husband has left her for another woman and her bank account is left empty after dedicating her life to raising her family. She needs a job and an identity all of a sudden. At an Italian evening class she makes a start in finding new friends Anna and Sophie. And she’s going to need good friends when she discovers her husband’s lies run even deeper than his infidelity…

As Anna embarks on the trip to Italy that could answer all of her questions, will the truth live up to her dreams?

Why so excited? --> Last year I was lucky enough to receive a review copy of Lucy Diamond's 'Me and Mr. Jones', a read which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm really looking forward to 'One Night in Italy'; the blurb sounds great, and I love the idea of following these three women on their separate journeys. Oh, and what's better to get in the summer mood than a bit of Italy?!

Victoria Connelly - 'A Summer to Remember' (5th of June)

Nina Elliot is tired of her life. She’s not sure how it happened but, somewhere along the way, she lost track of where it was all going.

So one fateful day, she makes a brave decision: she’s going to leave it all behind.

Taking a job deep in the English countryside, Nina does just that. Ensconced at the Old Mill, she settles into daily life with the Milton family, where she works as a researcher for author Dudley.

With endless summer days stretching out ahead of her, Nina couldn’t be happier. But her quiet life is soon interrupted when the handsome Milton boys return home – for they plan to make sure this really is a summer to remember…

Why so excited? --> I've loved Victoria Connelly's work ever since I read 'A Weekend With Mr. Darcy' a couple of years ago. Her Austen Addicts series is fabulous, but her regular novels are just as amazing! I already love the sound of 'A Summer to Remember', and I'm sure this will be the perfect read for a lovely summer day!

Chrissie Manby - 'A Proper Family Holiday' (5th of June)

Sisters Chelsea and Ronnie Benson haven't spoken to each other in two years when their mother announces she wants the whole family to go on a week-long holiday in Lanzarote for her sixtieth birthday. Both sisters dread the holiday for different reasons.

Sophisticated singleton Chelsea, a fashion journalist, dreads a week in the 'chips with everything' world she left behind when she moved to London.

Ronnie, now a mother of two, is feeling fat and frumpy. The last thing she wants is to strip down to a swimsuit alongside her super-thin super-chic sis.

The week begins badly and gets worse, as underlying tensions and secrets are exposed. And then their mother drops a bombshell on the group. Will the holiday bring the sisters closer or blow the Benson family apart?

Why so excited? --> Another popular name within the world of chick lit who is treating us to a wonderful holiday read this June! Chrissie Manby's books are always great reads, and I'm sure I'll really enjoy 'A Proper Family Holiday' as soon as I get a chance to read it!

Kelly Rimmer - 'Me Without You' (6th of June)

A story of how love can break our hearts – and heal them.

A year ago I met the love of my life. For two people who didn’t believe in love at first sight, we came pretty close.

Lilah MacDonald – beautiful, opinionated, stubborn and all kinds of wonderful in ways that words could never quite capture. The woman who taught me to live again.

My Lilah, who gave me so much, and yet kept from me a secret that she knew would break my heart.

My name is Callum Roberts, and this is our story.

Why so excited? --> I've read that fans of Nicholas Sparks' novels will really enjoy Kelly Rimmer's 'Me Without You', which has got me even more excited about this upcoming release. I'm a big fan of Nicholas Sparks' love stories, and I have a feeling this book will also have a wonderful love story at its core!
